Mold Flow Analysis (Mould Flow Analysis)

Virtual modeling of an intended design can reduce problems before tooling is completed saving time and expense. Elimination of knit lines and gate location optimization is critical prior to tooling development. Mold Flow Analysis can also be an important tool when developing parts thinner than 1 mm in thickness, particularly in mid-sized displays.

With a Mold Flow Analysis you will gain valuable insights into the dynamics of filling, cooling, packing and warpage. You will actually look inside your part and mold evaluating vital parameters before finalizing your tooling. Understanding what happens during the entire cycle as the mold fills, packs and cools provides an opportunity to modify both the part and tool design. You will not simply seeing symptoms of problems but you will be able to diagnose the actual causes.
